The ESH Manager will:
This position is responsible for managing, supporting, and ensuring continuous improvement and compliance in the areas of environment, occupational safety and health, security, and fire protection at the Mt. Vernon location, consisting of both PLT and CVT divisions.
- Follow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilities. Ensure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented
- Check compliance with legal and internal regulations and implement measures
- Represent Continental in negotiations with responsible authorities about ESH matters
- Ensure safety checks/reviews are completed during commissioning of all equipment
- Ensure a structured management system of waste, wastewater, air emission and handing of substances plan and implement ESH investments
- Implement and maintain ESH related processes
- Initiate ESH improvement projects
- Ensure the training and awareness of employees for ESH matters to achieve continuous improvement. Develop methods and provide regular training to avoid accidents and occupational sickness, environmental contamination, and fires
- Maintain management systems according to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and internal standards
- Ensure all applicable external certifications of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001. Develop ESH concepts, policies, procedures, and work instructions, reviewing regularly and improving as required.
- Monitor plant specific KPIs to measure performance and provide reporting on corporate / divisional KPIs as required
- Conduct risk analyses, and ensure emergency preparedness/response plans are current and effective
- Conduct structured root cause analyses of incidents, also defining and implementing sustainable improvement measures
- Manage & monitor contractors including janitorial and solid waste contractors.
- Manage the safety awareness and culture of the entire facility in order to achieve and continuously improve ESH goals, objectives and the budget Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Profil kandidáta
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 10+ years of experience in Environmental or Occupational Safety
- 18 months experience of leading people (including matrix/indirect reporting) or project leader experience. Min. 5 years experience in leading people, teams and mid size volume projects
- Experience in international / matrix organizations. Fluent English. International assignment experience for at least 2 years.
- Internal qualified candidates will meet internal guidelines for this executive level role
- Continental is able to offer visa support for internal candidates.
- Relocation may be possible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in related field

The starting annual salary for this role is $133,920 - $150,660. a year.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
