[Internship] - Web Backend Node.js Developer

You should be a passionate Web Backend Developer Intern with a drive to create exceptional user experiences using Node.js (or similar backend technology, e.g. JAVA), Typescript and familiar with NoSQL database (e.g. Mongo DB). You will be supervised and guided by a senior, working together on a new Desk Booking Web application. You will be responsible for development, debugging and testing on back-end services.

Backend API Development
- Develop and maintain backend services
- Assist in the development of new feature and functionality for backend services
- Design and create NoSQL database models/schemas
- Test and debug code to ensure the service is fully functional
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Act as quality assurance to ensure web application is functional as intended
- Work on any web related R&D / POC assignments from your supervisor
Your profile
- Candidate ideally possess or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or numerical discipline with strong computing background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to work as part of a global organisation across boundaries - geographically, language and cultural.
- Good personality, positive mindset and independent.
- Familiar with Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Familiar with NoSQL database (e.g. MongoDB)
- Understand how GIT works and familiar with Github/GitLab.
- Added advantage - Familiar with IDE vscode
- Added advantage - Familiar with Docker
