Accounting Team Leader

We are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. The accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will assist in financial analysis, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing process. Position overview
- Oversee accounting operations, reports, control and processes for the Tires companies in Mexico. Assure they are in line with Corporate standard, due dates and policies.
- Ensure that all Accounting comply with International Accounting Standard and National laws.
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled on monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.
- Ensure journal entries are approved and supported by adequate documentation.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
- Lead projects to review the month end closing processes for improvements in efficiency and controls.
- Communicate changes in accounting processes or large financial impacts to the appropriate Controlling team.
- Coordinate external audit processes and cooperate closely with auditors as required.
- Prepare the annual planning and monthly forecasting process with regards to content, process and timing. Analyses budget and forecast data to ensure integrity and plausibility of all included alternatives.
- Coordinate operational and administrative improvement, automation and process improvement projects in Finance / Controlling in order to optimize the company’s operations.
- Manages and develops department personnel.
- Maintain close contact with Corporate Finance.
- Lead and participate in other special projects as needed.
Profil kandidáta
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Financial professional experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and ethics
- Advanced knowledge of SAP and proprietary modules, such as FIRE.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Management experience.
- English level: advanced.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Accounting.
- Experience with SAP – FI, MM and AA Modules.
- CPA Certification.
- Project Management experience.
