Automotive SQM Category Engineer (Mechatronic) - Sibiu Plant Quality Management

• Responsible to launch new components for respective technology at suppliers                                
• Plan, initiate and control failure prevention orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design / development phase for supplied parts and services (Feasibility Commitment, Project Reviews, Run & Rate, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan etc.) to ensure that our components meet all defined requirements.
• Review of sourcing documentation and preparation for team decision
• Work in international and multi-disciplinary teams including e.g. Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, local SQM departments, Customer Quality and Logistic.
• Qualification, introduction and release of suppliers, technologies, and manufacturing processes by VDA6.3 Audits with high focus on early involvement and failure prevention.
• Drive escalation topics in order to solve the problem in a systematic manner, e.g. Red Alerts
• Project leader (coach) for Supplier Quality Improvement Program
• Deploy lessons learned / read across through the Category, organization and towards suppliers.
• Validate/approve new products launch at suppliers

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong Knowledge in quality related methodologies and standards Automotive Core tools (FMEA, 8D review, 5why, Problem Solving, etc)
• Experience in performing process audits based on VDA 6.3.
• Experience in automotive industry and standards (IATF 16949)
• Able to work independently and also in team-based environment
• Willing to travel to be onsite at supplier and short notice in case of escalation.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working experience in Supplier Quality Management/ Quality management
• Good understanding of Component Introduction in design and development phase and APQP management
• Good knowledge in process for plastic Over-molding/molding, stamping, press-fit stamping, sub-component assembly, automated inline testing, wire cutting/terminating for cable assemblies
