Solution / Project Manager

- Primary owner of the Solution Backlog:
-- Maintain it by adding, deleting, estimating, refining, and prioritizing backlog items, e.g., Capabilities by using Weighted-Shortest-Job-First approach.
-- Ensure that backlog items, provided by other stakeholders, are being refined until they fulfill the Definition of Ready criteria.
-- Ensure that dependencies between Agile Release Trains of the Solution are respected and delivered as committed.
-- Manage dependencies to and from other Solution Trains.
- Define releases and program increments- Identify & Understand customer needs and validate solutions, i.e., deliveries provided by the Solution Train
- Continuously defining, prioritizing, and validating end-to-end requirements on all system levels
- Prioritize and allocate reported defects or findings in the solution backlog from sources like internal/external problem reports, integration tests, system test or internal/external audit/quality assessments
- Manage the high-level delivery roadmap & schedule in alignment with customer or other stakeholder milestones- Understand and support portfolio work- Develop and communicate the solution vision and roadmap
- Support BO as interface between strategic planning of the solution on portfolio level and the solution.
- Work with suppliers and make sure that requirements for supplier-delivered capabilities are understood
- Drive the product value generation across multiple teams assigned to different agile release trains- Measurement of productivity, quality and value creation. Support in defining and prioritization of improvement measures
- Evaluate and control the overall product quality to ensure continuous product improvement
- Assess metrics incl. evaluation of delivered business value and quality- Contribute in Program Increment Planning Event of the Solution
- Participate in the Demos and Inspect & Adapt Workshops of the Solution
- Communicates and represents solution strategy - internally and externally
- Keep work items broken down to a more detailed level in alignment with parent work item. I.e., User Stories have to fully cover and stay consistent to Feature, Feature to Capability, Capability to Epic and vice versa.
- Define acceptance criteria for each solution backlog item (capability)
- Represent the delivered results in the context of quality and schedule to customer and stakeholders
- Decompose higher level requirements and specifications into Capabilities or Features.- Build an effective Solution Management/Product Management team
- Lead Pre- and Post-Program Increment Planning
- Understand & manage the budget for the solution- Making entrepreneurial decisions and evaluation of those
- Identification of strategic topics and capabilities needed for future products and product development

University Degree in related field, e.g., computer science
