(Junior) Data Scientist

As Data Scientist you will work in a global team of experts delivering Data Science products and know-how to diverse areas all over the tire business.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Be integral part of projects in an area of specialization like Sales, Marketing or Manufacturing;
• Work with domain experts to understand their problems and solve them with data;
• Understand the Continental Tires data landscape with its diverse applications and architectures;
• Be a partner in connecting the necessary experts from business and IT to solve problems;
• Get involved into different tasks at once and involve yourself with our team to get the support you need;
• Support in shaping the processes and organization to leverage the business value Data Science can bring to our enterprise.

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar studies;
• Minimum 1 year of IT or industry working experience;
• Good knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Statistics;
• Expertise in programming data science use cases with a widespread programming language from the community (e.g., Python, R);
• Experience with data extraction from diverse sources like common data bases, streaming, APIs or SAP systems;
• Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle;
• Knowledge on data management, data engineering and data visualization (is a plus);
• Good knowledge of data intensive IT architectures;
• Very good communication skills;
• Experience with Agile methodologies;
• Experience working in a multinational company (is a plus);
• Proficient English language skills (written and spoken).
