Department Head - UX System Engineering Excellence (m/f/diverse) - REF25567X

We are looking for you, a Department Head of UX System Engineering Excellence (m/f/diverse), to lead and drive several topics in R&D to achieve system engineering excellence in the following areas:

• Technical compliance management system (TCMS) in R&D in all technical compliance categories, i.e., product safety, product conformity, product cybersecurity & privacy, product environmental compliance
• Systems engineering governance
• Functional safety management governance
• Project services (system design FMEA, configuration management, product data management)

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

• Functionally lead the global teams in the areas of responsibility mentioned above:
  • Define strategy and provide guidance to worldwide teams
  • Organize global synergies and standardize processes
  • Drive efficiency improvements
  • Balance resources on worldwide basis
• Roll out the TCMS framework, ensuring deployment in all projects
• Coordinate and manage the activities related to governance of system engineering (e.g., system management, system deployment and system engineering improvements)
• Standardize and harmonize processes, methods, tools for the worldwide R&D community
• Support audits to ensure the process compliance (e.g. A-SPICE)
• Plan & track budget / resources and employee development for local team

• Academic degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in the R&D in the automotive industry (system engineering would be an advantage)
• Several years of experience in management and leadership of distributed teams
• Experience in defining and deploying system engineering processes, methods, and tools
• Experience in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and interdisciplinary and international project teams
• Knowledge of system engineering processes and audit standards (e.g. ASPICE)
• Knowledge of technical compliance management systems would be an advantage
• Analytical, structured and organized in your approach
• Self-driven and passionate about continuous improvements
• Excellent quality awareness
• Fluent in German and English
