Internship – Infrastructure Application Management - CTBC
Your tasks
As an Infrastructure Application Management Intern, you will support the team responsible for managing and optimizing the infrastructure application landscape. This role is designed for students who want hands-on exposure to enterprise IT environments, application lifecycle management, documentation, and process improvement, while working closely with experienced application managers.
The internship focuses on learning by doing, with clear guidance and structured tasks aligned with real business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Application Portfolio Support
- Support the maintenance of the application portfolio by collecting, updating, and validating application-related data (e.g. owners, usage, lifecycle status).
- Assist in basic analysis of applications to support standardization, consolidation, or optimization initiatives.
- Help ensure clear ownership and up-to-date records for infrastructure applications supported by the team.
- Support license tracking activities by gathering and validating usage-related information.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Assist in identifying gaps or inefficiencies in application management processes.
- Support the creation and maintenance of process documentation, workflows, and guidelines.
- Update documentation following changes in applications, processes, or tools.
- Assist in troubleshooting data or documentation inconsistencies and escalate when needed.
Technical Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support application-related activities.
- Assist the team in preparing information required for software deployment or operational activities.
- Work closely with IT Operations teams to better understand how infrastructure applications are deployed and supported.
Change Management Support
- Support change management activities in line with ITIL principles.
- Assist with documenting change requests and tracking their status.
- Help assess the impact of minor application changes under supervision.
Automated Workflows & Administration
- Support the identification of manual activities that could be automated.
- Assist with testing, documenting, and updating automated workflows.
- Help with administrative tasks related to application management tools and platforms.
Your profile
Qualifications (Internship Level)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Interest in Infrastructure, Application Management, or IT Operations.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts (applications, systems, environments).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (data lists, basic analysis).
- Willingness to learn about ITIL principles, change management, and Agile ways of working.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, with guidance when needed.
- Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
