IFS Pricing Analyst USA and Canada

工作职责

POSITION

This position establishes the correct sell price for our customers in the Customer Engineered Solutions business area in the Americas and Globally for our various product lines. The position focuses on providing competitive prices that maximize margin to that allow Continental to win new orders, maintain current business and penetrate existing accounts with our product depth and breadth.

  • Product Management:
    • Work with the Product Management to determine relative product value and then work with the Commercial Sales department to capture that value.
    • Understanding of brand positioning and PLM
    • Knowledge of product portfolio: recognition of differentiation by product
  • Customer Service:
    • Respond to transactional price requests. Responses need to be consistent with established profitability goals and market levels.
    • Work closely with stakeholders of the pricing process to determine:
    • Spec to quote.
    • Competitive landscape
    • Margin Requirements
    • Various Commercial elements (value pricing, internal conflict, lead times, costs. Etc.)
  • Auditing:
    • Participate in periodic audit reviews for margin, SAP accuracy, customer facing materials.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with Sales and Customer Service to receive requests for price/rebate.
    • Execute decisions based on the strategies and tactics outlined for the Business Area and/or product line.
    • Interact with Sales, Regional Manager to address potential conflicts or challenges.
  • Analysis:
    • Collect and distribute competitive data (ex. Price pages, price increase notices, price review, product offering
    • Assemble commercial market data for customer segmentation, product profitability,
    • Drive win/loss data collection
    • Develop and utilize analytical pricing tools that will enable the pricing department to manage price more effectively. Identify and share best practices.
  • KPI:
    • Perform per establish KPI.
    • Participate in periodic business reviews to communicate measurement to KPIs.
    • Challenge KPIs to ensure SMART and meaningful.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred area of study: in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or Accounting
  • Experience in Pricing, Marketing/Product Management and/or Sales
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts, pricing, programs, promotion and products and good business acumen required.
  • Effective communicator in both written form and oral.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Problem solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions within decision authority.
  • Understanding of compliance and audit process.
  • Project and/or Process Experience
  • Understanding of sales & marketing process along with understanding of P&L management.
  • Intercultural / International Experience
  • Must speak fluent English.
