Plant SCM Manager

Your tasks
The mission of the position is to lead, plan, coordinate, implement and control all supply chain activities and functions to meet budget and supply chain targets (e.g. maximize delivery performance, reduce cost and inventories) and to represent the plant/operations unit towards internal and external contacts regarding SCM topics. The Supply Chain Manager initiates, manages and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all supply chain relevant processes.
You ensure
- SIOP-Process ownership:
- Support BA Demand Fulfillment Cluster on SIOP process with a strong focus on meeting customer requirements, while optimizing the capacity utilization, inventory & SC cost structures.
- Production Planning:
- Ensure coordination of demand and demand changes with customers together with BA SCM (depending on BA requirements)
- Certify production planning and control processes are used and maximizing efficiences with the plant (production program planning, production scheduling, production sequencing, production control and production review)
- Regular collaboration with Plant Production is needed to align demand plan, labor, machine availability, etc.
- Ensure coordination of demand and demand changes with customers together with BA SCM (depending on BA requirements)
- Material Planning:
- Monitor proper planning, scheduling and the execution of procurement activities as e.g. disposition (planning of inbound material) and call-offs (non and production material as well as import activities according to standards
- Supervise and monitor the supplier management as e.g. capacity management, order confirmation, follow-up to ensure delivery (performance and quality monitoring and assurance) and claim management
- Support Purchasing and Supplier Quality Management with data and information relating to performance and supplier related issues or concerns and if corrective actions are needed.
- Monitor proper planning, scheduling and the execution of procurement activities as e.g. disposition (planning of inbound material) and call-offs (non and production material as well as import activities according to standards
- Warehouse & Transportation
- Plan and implement supply chain and logistics concepts (e.g. sourcing and delivery concept, requirements regarding flexibility of production setup and machine investments, flow and storage concept into and out of production, material transportation and provision concept) according to e.g. production control plan, layout and standards in close cooperation with manufacturing engineering function
- Define and ensure operation of internal material handling and transportation (internal logistic) for raw materials and finished goods (semi-finished goods are excluded) according to standards and planning
- Perform inventory and warehouse management (planning, parameter and process settings), inventory handling and operate all plant internal warehouses (not central/distribution warehouses) for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods including receiving and shipping and monitor inventory
- Execute operation with external logistic partners (e.g. third-party logistics or consignment stock, freight companies, customs brokers, etc.) according to standards
- Manage and perform delivery to customer (e.g. transport planning, dispatch), freight management, customs clearance and packaging management according to standards
- Participate actively in the PLC process and execute logistics planning within customer projects
- Define plant SC master data and parameter control (e.g. lot sizes, lead times, storage information, etc.) according to standards (master data maintenance might be done centrally)
- Plan and implement supply chain and logistics concepts (e.g. sourcing and delivery concept, requirements regarding flexibility of production setup and machine investments, flow and storage concept into and out of production, material transportation and provision concept) according to e.g. production control plan, layout and standards in close cooperation with manufacturing engineering function
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Ensure supply chain performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. regarding cost, delivery performance, adherence to schedule, lead time, capacity utilization) in cooperation with BU SCM and plant controllin
- Identify, prioritize and implement SC process improvements e.g. by factory layout planning, factory simulation (e.g. logistics processes, production planning and control methods) according to standard
- Ensure supplier SCM performance monitoring in collaboration with purchasing (e.g. delivery reliability to production line of external service providers)
- Control measures to improve supply chain performance
- Ensure supply chain performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. regarding cost, delivery performance, adherence to schedule, lead time, capacity utilization) in cooperation with BU SCM and plant controllin

To collaborate with the “SCM Processes & Projects” team to define, train & implement standard SC processes
Functional lead of the plant supply chain managers and teams in the cluster, support SCM staff recruitment, performance, potential reviews, training and development
Cerințe
- Degree in SCM, Economics/Business. Engineering or Operations
- Several years of professional experience in managing E2E SIOP processes (in a multi-plant environment)
- Management/Leadership responsibility in the areas of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing Operations (good knowledge about sales, purchasing...)
- Designing, implementing & operating SC processes & related systems
- Project management in an international/global context
- Effective communication combined with a hands-on approach
- Language: Portuguese, English and Spanish
