Head of Sustainable Infrastructure (Facilities / Utilities)

In this role, you will be the Head of Sustainable Infrastructure department by organizing projects and supervising the work of technicians. Support the environmental, health and safety topics and documentation, implementation, and supervision of facilities projects. Monitor department to ensure all rules and safety policies are followed.

Focused on delivering efficient, clean and innovative ways to generate & supply energy media. Work in a variety of roles including Managing energy generation and consumption, designing and testing processes/machinery, developing ways of improving existing processes, and converting, transmitting and supplying Steam, Compressed air, Electricity & Water to meet the company's needs for energy media.

Core Responsibilities

  • Organization of maintenance for the energy machines and systems and for the buildings in the plant.
  • Responsible for utility equipment selection and purchasing, installation, utility distribution system and hook up process equipment.
  • Ensure cost effective and qualitative production concerning systems engineering and machines.
  • Responsible for generating yearly energy budget and its adherence.
  • Responsible for all utility machinery, energy net and buildings in the plant. Ensure the execution of safety measures.
  • Interpret production energy requirements and communicate with management on line arrangements.
  • Define the requirements and schedules for improvements.
  • Project management of activities in the facility and utility departments.
  • Supervise contract repair and maintenance. Including budget tracking, control and reporting.
  • Supervise battery charging systems and personnel.  Including budget tracking, control and reporting
  • Maintain all building systems and components.
  • Supervise grounds maintenance including mowing, trash removal, and general landscaping.
  • Maintain roads and parking lots
  • Coordinate fire suppression system inspection and maintenance with EHS and Security service.
  • Ability to read blue prints/drawings
  • Supervise HVAC maintenance crew.
  • Maintain Utility equipment PM programs.
  • Coordinate replacement of high maintenance cost equipment.
  • Manage Energy management systems.
  • Raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
  • Support the Continental Business System (CBS) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting, reviewing and managing his/her/team performance, conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, participating in the CBT reviews, and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requisitos

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree –Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Energy supply)
  • 7+ years experience Facilities Management with steam boilers, compressors, chillers and electrical substations
  • ISO and TS knowledge
  • This role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tire manufacturing knowledge preferred
