The Bead & Carcass Platform Development Team is part of the Technology Center Tires in Hanover Stöcken and belongs to the Technology - Platform and Product Industrialization Truck & Bus department. We champion the technology development for truck and bus tires in the worldwide portfolio and strive for truck tire casings to meet any new requirement while maintaining the integrity & retreadability.  

In the role of a Leader Bead & Carcass Platforms T&B (m/w/diverse) your responsibility will be:

• Preselect, develop and lead the technical highly qualified staff of the group according to HR Standards
• Develop the next level of bead & ply technologies to meet especially the endurance and retreadability requirements for upcoming product lines of Truck & Bus tires
• Process requirements and manage portfolio of activities/projects for flawless introduction of the bead & ply platforms with ideal balance of performance, quality, manufacturing complexity and material costs
• Ensure the according bead & ply Design Guide Truck & Bus being state of art and verify Design Guide conformity for every related product release
• Initiation and operation of close the gap actions on bead & ply performance vs. material costs
• Plan, gain approval, implement and control the project expenses, resources and invest budgets that meet the agreed department strategy and company objectives

• Academic degree in engineering, natural science or comparable fields
• Several years of job experience in Technology or Product Development
• Leadership experience as well as project leading experience
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken), German language skills would be desired
• Intercultural competency and clear and open communication
• Strong problem-solving ability as well as interest to bring topics forward
• High quality orientation and high passion to the topics
• Willingness to travel (also international)
