Internship - Data Visualisation for Compound Development - REF99687I

Interested in materials, data, and innovative tire technologies? Join our Truck Tread Compound Development team starting November 2026, for a 4 to 6-month internship and gain hands-on experience in compound development, R&D projects, and data evaluation.

The internship will take place on-site. It can be completed as a combination of a mandatory and voluntary internship. 

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Excel Tool Support
   • Assist in the fine-tuning of an Excel-based tool to compile tire test results as well as chemical and physical test results from tire samples on known compound mixtures.
   • Support the structure of formulas and logic under the guidance of senior developers.
2. Power BI Database support
   • Help compile and structure a database of Benchmark results for competitor tread compound analysis.
   • Assist with data entry, validation, and organization of performance metrics.
   • Help visualize and structure data for easier interpretation by the development team.
3. Shape our department internal Guideline
   • Assist updating our Microsoft Word based guideline to a modern tool supporting daily business for the development team.
   • Help visualize and structure data for easier interpretation by the development team.

• Enrolled student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field at a European university
• Strong interest in data analysis, materials development, or automotive technology
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Initial experience with data tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, MATLAB, or databases) is a plus
• Fluent English language skills (written & spoken); German language skills are a plus
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
