Head of Plants Purchasing US OESL

Organizing, steering and managing the activities of purchasing for US OESL business area. The tasks will focus on the following activities:

• Manage and coordinate all local purchasing activities for the US plants.
• Translate plants purchasing strategy into action plans and ensure implementation.
• Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning).
• Ensure the achievement of purchasing targets according to internal and external customer expectations.
• Manages supplier portfolio, including removal and reallocation of business.
• Perform supplier development, release and support in supplier auditing (including controlling and evaluation of supplier measures).
• Prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of purchasing cost center.
• Interface and local support to business area or group purchasing processes and teams (e.g. reporting of savings, payment terms, material price development, reporting of raw material forecast, etc.).
• Ensure purchasing performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. delivery performance, complain rate, soft facts, etc.) in cooperation with plant controlling.
• Ensure supplier performance monitoring (e.g. delivery reliability to production line of external service providers).
• Initiate and control measures to improve purchasing performance.
• Participate in and/or steer local purchasing related and cross-functional projects.
• Manages, motivates and develops the purchasing team. Responsible for target setting, supervision and organizational development. 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business engineering, business administration, supply chain management, logistics, chemistry or comparable field of qualification.
• 5+ years of experience with purchasing, preferably technical/ indirect materials purchasing.
• 3+ years of experience in a leading position.
• Advanced experienced in project management.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, SAP and world class sourcing platforms.
• Experience in rubber and plastic production processes preferred.
• Very good English language skills written and spoken.
• International experience and strong intercultural understanding.
