Project Engineer Extrusion & Calendering (m/f/diverse) - REF58137T

You will introduce the most modern tire production technologies into worldwide tire manufacturing locations. Handling projects with invest volumes up to eight-digit numbers while cooperating with international machine suppliers.

You are keen to drive machine enhancements based on latest learnings, as related to safety & health, quality, and sustainability by utilizing e.g. IoT, web-based machine HMIs or self-diagnostic functionalities?

Your mission in the team

• Manage and coordinate plant invest projects for new equipment as well as upgrades including support of the procurement and the acceptance process.
• Specify, standardize and develop competitive technologies for equipment under consideration of latest product and process requirements in the area of extrusion and calendaring
• Develop and implement efficiency measures for manufacturing production technology to ensure continuous improvement of related technology in regard to safety, quality, efficiency, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, energy consumption.
• Use advanced controls, sensorics, robotics - and observe the market for new technologies and solutions
• Develop new suppliers (machines, components, software)
• Perform trend scouting and benchmark activities regarding equipment and production processes to identify alternative processes and equipment

• Academic degree in engineering (electrical, mechatronic, process, hardware & software engineering) or similar
• Several years of experience in the described field 
• Automation knowledge - preferred Siemens Step 7 TIA  drives and field communication or similar
• IPC Management (PC + Windows + network + communication)
• Several years experience in the tire manufacturing process (focus extrusion) desirable
• Problem solving with academical approach 
• Very good communication skill in English language (written and spoken)
• Open culture mindset, Intercultural experience
