As an Automation Engineer, you will be joining a truly global team, while being connected to our Szeged Plant. 

You will drive electrotechnology for process and equipment development for core rubber technologies including mixing, extrusion, calendering, assembly, confection, curing, and finishing in cooperation with mechanical and process teams.

For machines with external sourcing, you define and review equipment specifications and support supplier selection, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and ramp‑up.

For machines with internal sourcing, you are deeply involved and share your following senior expertise with your project team:

  • Planning electrical concepts, including the design of sensors, actuators and drive systems as well as the definition of operating, safety and digital interfaces
  • Software development for programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Writing tender documents and evaluating offers in the field of automation technology
  • Creating project and machine documentation
  • Optimizing and adjusting control processes according to customer’s demands
  • Commissioning production machines worldwide

You act as an electrical problem solver for complex process, equipment, and ramp‑up issues.

Furthermore, you support global plant launches, technology transfer, standardization, and drive innovation in electrical automation to enhance competitiveness.

Votre profil

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Good PLC programming skills (Siemens TIA, WinCC).
  • Profound knowledge of hardware design for measurement, control, and regulation technology.
  • Experience with motion control (Siemens Sinamics).
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications.
  • High level of commitment, quick learner, team player, and strong communication skills.
  • Senior-level experience (typically 8+ years) in electrical engineering/automation, preferably within rubber or elastomer processing.
  • Ability to work across disciplines, effectively combining electrical, process, and mechanical perspectives.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills in complex manufacturing and industrialization environments.
  • High level of ownership, technical leadership, and the ability to operate independently at a senior level; fluent in English and willing to travel to production facilities (domestic and abroad).
