Tax Manager Mexico

Your tasks

We are seeking a talented and motivated Tax Manager to join our Finance team, leading the Taxes function for our Tires business in Mexico (2 plants and sales operations). This role is responsible for ensuring the financial and fiscal health of the legal entities, aligned with Group strategy and governance standards, acting as a key business partner to support strategic decision-making and drive performance across the region.

Drive profit-oriented business steering through strong analysis, KPIs and insights.

Ensure compliance with legal, statutory and group requirements.

Lead and develop a tax organization with direct leadership responsibility.

Support strategic initiatives such as integration, M&A activities and network development.

Act as a key sparring partner to the Managing Director and part of management team.

Ensure correct and timely tax compliance as well as compliance with all requirements regarding Transfer Pricing (BEPS Reporting) and safeguard of all fiscally relevant documentation for group companies.

Ensure monthly VAT recovery for operating company. Review, approve and release documentation for monthly VAT recovery.

Identify tax risks and opportunities and proactively communicate to involved areas, communications to implement solutions as needed. Provide tax advice along with external advisor to diverse company areas on as needed basis.

Review, approval and release monthly corporate tax declarations for Federal and local taxes.

Correct archiving of all fiscally relevant documentation including Fixed Assets

Prepare information for annual statutory tax report (dictamen fiscal).  Approve and release statutory tax report prior to submission to the authorities.

Fulfill all Transfer Pricing Requirements (BEPS etc.). Coordinate information, review and release transfer pricing studies for group companies.

Coordinate with other Finance areas to meet requirements on new official tax reports, as needed.

Ensure the correct GTC reporting according to corporate calendar.

Review tax implications of contracts within the Contract approval tool.

Coordinate with Finance areas miscellaneous projects to improve team performance and information quality.

Provide training, expertise and support to both market and plant controllers in the region. Steer market and plant controllers with respect to corporate principles. Ensures that all financial operations are performed in compliance with relevant Corporate and legal regulations.

Works with purchasing, accounting, IT, and legal to ensure adherence to corporate guidelines and standards (contracts, ESR, P.20, approvals, payments, etc.).

Supports managing multiple projects as steering committee or review team member.

5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience

7+ years of Professional experience

3+ years Leadership experience

Project management experience

Excellent social skills

Experience in Accounting

Experience in a Big four external auditors’ firm (EY, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte)

Intercultural and international experience

English language skills (written and spoken)

Proven leadership experience with good know-how to build an effective team, build accountability and drive performance. 

Experience in leading strategic projects (M&A or Integration) and working in multinational environment is considered as an advantage
