Control and Drives Engineer (Electronic Specialist)

Your tasks

  • Ensure the reliability of machinery in accordance with the Company's Safety and Quality requirements, through best maintenance practices considering analysis of equipment performance information and plant production priorities.
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial control systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC drives, servo motors, and motion control systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for control and drive systems.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Recommend improvements for obsolete systems and plan migrations.
  • Support safety system validation (e.g., safety PLCs, emergency circuits).
  • Maintain documentation, electrical drawings, and control schematics.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to maintenance technicians.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.

Your profile

Education/Certification:
Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronic).

Professional Experience (Variety of Functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience): Minimum of 4 years of experience. Knowledge of electrical controls, servos, DC and AC drives, PLCs, pneumatics, basic mechanics, servohydraulics, programming languages, communication protocols, and measurement and control equipment and techniques.

Project and/or Process Experience:
Electronic equipment integrators or metalworking rebuilding companies. Automotive or metalworking industry.

Leadership Experience:
Project Management.

Experience as leader.
