Environmental Protection Mgr. EMEA
Your tasks
We are looking for an Environmental Protection Manager EMEA to drive environmental governance, performance and culture across our Tires business in the EMEA region.
In this impactful role, you will act as the central coordination point for environmental topics, tracking compliance, improving performance, and shaping sustainable operations across a complex, international footprint (including manufacturing sites and a large retail network).
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the central interface for environmental topics across EMEA (plants, group functions and experts);
- Coordinate environmental activities and ensure alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements;
- Facilitate regional collaboration through regular meetings and communication channels;
- Support timely and accurate environmental data reporting across all locations;
- Support data quality improvements and audit readiness (incl. limited assurance audits);
- Strengthen compliance and KPI performance in line with environmental strategy;
- Lead environmental audits across sites and selected suppliers;
- Contribute to environmental due diligence in M&A and real estate activities;
- Lead and contribute to regional environmental projects (e.g., water; decarbonization initiatives);
- Design and implement environmental training and awareness programs;
- Foster a strong sustainability culture across EMEA operations.
Your profile
- Academic degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a comparable study;
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in environmental management or sustainability;
- Certified ISO 14001 auditor (internal or external);
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, management systems and auditing;
- Experience with environmental reporting and data systems;
- Solid project management skills in international environments;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Intercultural competence and ability to work across global teams;
- Proficient English language skills (verbal / written);
- Availability for international travelling (up to 20%)
