Your tasks

**Responsibilities**

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns across all assigned production areas, including mixing and auxiliary equipment, textile and steel calendering lines, simplex, duplex and triplex extrusion lines, and inner liner calendering lines.
  • Oversee condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities to ensure they are executed in accordance with established schedules and protocols.
  • Direct the implementation of the local maintenance strategy, including TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives, maintenance process improvements, SAP PM/ZM system integration, interdepartmental coordination, and condition monitoring tool deployment.
  • Ensure full compliance with Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) requirements within the area of responsibility and actively engage maintenance personnel in ESH awareness and implementation.
  • Identify, analyse and facilitate the implementation of mechanical improvements—including cost-saving opportunities—on production machinery in collaboration with Production, Quality and Purchasing departments.
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical expertise in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems through continuous professional development, technical publications review and professional networking.
  • Train and evaluate mechanical technicians within the assigned area, providing guidance and performance assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date mechanical documentation, including SAP PM orders, maintenance records, oil balance sheets, AutoCAD plans, and pneumatic and hydraulic system drawings.
