As a Product Development Engineer in our Passenger and Light Truck (PLT) Tire division, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—designing and launching new tire lines that meet the evolving needs of drivers across the Americas. This is your chance to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where your ideas drive real-world performance, safety, and sustainability. From concept to production, you’ll play a key role in delivering products that move people forward.

Your Impact

In this role, you’ll be the technical force behind the development and lifecycle management of PLT tire lines for the  Replacement market. Your contributions will include:

  • Creating the Future: Lead the development of new tire lines, translating market insights and customer needs into high-performance products that meet quality, cost, and timing targets.
  • Driving Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, strategies, and test plans that push the boundaries of tire technology.
  • Bringing Products to Life: Oversee the seamless industrialization of new products, ensuring they are production-ready and aligned with strategic roadmaps.
  • Sustaining Excellence: Manage and enhance existing tire lines throughout their lifecycle, introducing new sizes and improvements that keep our offerings competitive.
  • Championing Collaboration: Support marketing, sales, and customer engagement efforts through technical documentation, launch events, and performance feedback.
  • Growing Together: Contribute to R&D initiatives, mentor new team members, and continuously develop your own expertise in a supportive, innovation-driven culture.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

We’re seeking a passionate and proactive engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • B.S. in Engineering
  • 2+ years of Tire Development experience
  • Experience in R&D in the tire industry
  • Experience in managing multiple projects
  • Strong commitment, assertiveness, intercultural sensibility and a team orientated mindset
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Continental is able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will sponsor current Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
