Category Buyer (Marketing/Consulting/Legal/Financial/Travel Services) - Sibiu Finance, Purchasing & Sales
Your tasks
Check out your future responsibilities below:
- Support and implement category strategies to ensure cost-effective, long-term supply of services
- Analyze supplier markets and leverage global and regional purchasing volumes
- Drive supplier consolidation and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality and service standards
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and align purchasing goals across regions
- Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and development to strengthen performance and reliability
- Lead negotiations and implement contracts with favorable terms (pricing, legal, and service conditions)
- Collaborate on sourcing projects with departments such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance
- Monitor and report on key procurement KPIs and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and sourcing documentation standards
- Support vendor onboarding, contract management, and issue resolution with Accounting and Master Data teams
- Participate in and lead cross-functional improvement or sourcing projects as needed
Your profile
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Academic degree in Business Administration or comparable qualifications
- Professional experience in Purchasing function and/or respective material groups
- English speaking and writing – Advanced
- German speaking and writing – Advanced
- Ability to work independently and highly self-motivated
- Excellent teamwork spirit and flexibility
- Strong negotiation, persuasion and communication skillset
- Inter-cultural experience (working in different countries or with international teams)
- Experience with Continental Business Systems
- Willing and able to travel as needed
