Our Uvalde, TX location is seeking a Facility Manager to lead the facility and maintenance team for our Evaluation Center Uvalde proving grounds.

THE POSITION

As the manager of the facility maintenance department, you are responsible for the facility infrastructure (budget, buildings, tracks, equipment, etc.…) including preventative maintenance and repairs. This includes monitoring various projects and the construction of the facilities. As a service partner, you are responsible for servicing all departments, such as planning new projects and performing repairs, providing all updates as needed. Prevent and minimize any issues with down time such as vehicle servicing, track maintenance, etc.…

Core Responsibilities :

  • Managing facility budgets to ensure proper servicing of all departments within the Evaluation Center.
  • Responsible for all project management activities from development to implementation in the most efficient way with internal and external suppliers.
  • Use internal strategy to monitor/maintain all tracks in Uvalde and their maintenance. 
  • Responsible for road building, road performance, and best ways to improve/develop tracks over the lifetime.
  • Developing and mentoring team members on various technical levels as they take over new projects and tasks.
  •  Maintain/monitor the different department activities in Uvalde so we can track and develop high quality standards overall in Uvalde. Responsible for legal, customer-specific, and internal processes within the department. 
  • Responsible to make sure OSHA protocols are followed and all the department activities (maintenance, constructions, repairs, buildings, vehicles, utilities, lockout-tagout and environment controls) are followed, ensuring regulatory compliance with different projects, and/or certifications. Maintain all documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Your profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ Years of experience in project management, managing large scale projects simultaneously, planning, development, risk assessments, and budget. 
  • Understanding OSHA regulations for Construction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package (Outlook, Excel, Word, project management)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Familiar with KPI's measures to improve different construction processes, performance, evaluation, basic analytics, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and worldwide locations.
  • Experience ensuring regulatory compliance with different projects and or certifications, documentation in accordance with local, state, federal regulations.
  • Experience leading large teams directly or indirectly.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in project management and a Master Degree in Science degree in Construction Management or Bachelor of Science in Construction Science & Management (Engineering, Construction and Science)
  • Understanding of highway/road pavement construction (knowledge about base aggregates, asphalt betum).
  • Experience in facility maintenance management.
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma .
  • Understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics, alignment, and electronics, maintenance, repairs.
  • Experience with Auto CAD.
