Mold Shop Technician - Night Shift

YOUR TASKS

Responsible for maintaining employee training and qualification records while supporting curing press operations, tooling maintenance, quality requirements, and production readiness. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to maintain molds, equipment, and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Maintain employee skill matrices, qualification records, and department headcount data.
• Set up, operate, and monitor curing presses while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform mold, bladder, and tooling maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, assembly/disassembly, and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues, perform repairs, and initiate corrective and preventive actions to improve performance.
• Read and interpret specifications, drawings, procedures, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Conduct final product inspections and quality checks using control panel interfaces and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Follow plant safety, environmental, quality, and 5S standards while working effectively as a self-motivated team member.
• Respond quickly to equipment downtime, communicate issues to supervision, and report any conditions that could impact product quality.
• Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure.
• Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be willing to work selected shift for this position
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to frequently bend, climb, kneel, and lift up to 85 pounds in a hot environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior relevant tooling and mold experience
• Vocational or post-secondary mechanical training
• Technical, machining experience
