Advanced Development Engineer (m/f/diverse) - REF55691L

The goal of Advanced Development Rubber is laying the foundation of innovation for the business area Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) to be the leader for highly developed and intelligent rubber products for the automotive industry as the best solutions for each of our customers in each of our markets. In your role as an Advanced Development Engineer (m/f/diverse) for the Segments Damping and Transmission Solutions (DTS) and Precision Sealing Solutions (PSS) your task is the development of new product technologies with regard to material, design and process. This goal is achieved by an effective execution and management of advanced R&D projects. 

Your role will also include the following activities:

• Development of new products up to series-production maturity according to market/customer needs including manufacturing processes 
• Responsibility for the design and validation activities of innovative products
• Managing all the tasks necessary to develop a robust and efficient product
• Ensuring regular communication with the internal project team, the costumer and other stakeholders
• Following CT PLC regulations to ensure defined process / IATF / local quality certification requirements
• Optimizing production processes for the manufacturing of new products
• Supporting plant operations in continuous improvement processes
• Providing support for serial products in production for the assigned customer or product group
• Responsibility for the creation of guidelines for new products
• Planning and steering component and system tests according to customer specifications 
• Reviewing internal and external developments with respect to technical content and intellectual property
• Establishing and maintaining a robust network in the Product Development Center

• Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the automotive industry with focus on development
• Experience with acoustics or antivibration systems for cars
• Ability to translate successful innovative ideas into products
• In-depth scientific knowledge in the field of elastomers and polymers
• General knowledge of materials and component manufacturing processes for products to be developed (e.g., aluminum die casting, aluminum extrusion, steel casting, cold forming, deep drawing and sheet metal processing, plastic injection molding, surface coatings, assembly process)
• In-depth project management skills
• Experienced in working with an international team
• Business fluent english skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Very good organizational skills
• Willingness to travel (approx. 10 %)
