Internship and Master Thesis - Knowledge Graphs in Material Discovery - REF65341E

The RnD Data Analytics team at our location Hannover-Stöcken is for data-based support of research and development in the tire sector. We rely on a mix of self-service business intelligence solutions and modern machine learning techniques to provide our tire developers with modern tools for the tires of the future.

To support our team at the location Hannover-Stöcken we are looking for an Internship with Master Thesis position starting as soon as possible. For the best learning experience possible, the internship should require a duration of 3 months, following which is a potential master thesis.

Tasks include:

• Research on Knowledge Graphs
• Explore ways to apply this knowledge in the material domain
• Implement a model into the existing discovery framework
• Evaluate the results
• Communication of results

• Students (m/f/diverse) of Computer science, Mathematics or similar, ideally having a specialization in Data Science
• Safe handling of MS Office-programs
• General knowledge in Python 
• Basics of Knowledge Graphs Theory
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken
• You can work independently as well as in a team, you are open-minded, and you like to work with a global community
