Job Profile

Responsible to manage all Safety, Health and Security matters at Continental Tyre PJ Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTPJ) including compliance to the local regulations and corporate requirement.

Job Description

Safety, Health & Security Management

1. Serving as the site Safety, Health and Security Management for the location, including PJ Plant, all office buildings facilities as well as various other non-manufacturing facilities and offices related to CTPJ.
2. Setting annual safety improvement goals for the site and develop the work packages to address gaps and improvement opportunities within safety, health and security scope.
3. Ensuring equipment is installed safely and correctly - Gemba inspection.
4. Identifying potential hazards with regards to the safety and health.
5. Determining ways/programs to reduce risks.
6. Checking the compliance to the safety rules by shopfloor employees and contractors.
7. Plan and carry out safety and health awareness, campaign activities and emergency preparedness and response plantwide for all subordinates. 
8. Manage all required reporting to DOSH/ Corporate and statistics.

Operational Safety, Health & Security

1. Analyzing and interpreting statistical data related to workplace safety and industrial hygiene issues.
2. Train, mentor and develop Safety, Health & Security Inspector/Specialist and internal customer representative (cross departments).
3. Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented, monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and providing recommendation for ways to prevent similar accidents.
4. Develop, prioritize and implement hazard identification and risk control strategies to mitigate safety, health and security risks.
5. Monitoring and follow-ups on Unsafe Act and Unsafe Condition records.

ISO 45001 Certification

1. Monitor, report and recommend actions for improvement on safety & health management system performance.
2. Ensure all certification requirements are fulfilled and comply to the established standards.
3. Manage all procedures and documentations related to certification requirement.
4. Ensure compliance to performance monitoring as required by legislation.

Health, Canteen & In-house Clinic

1. Implement the Accident Injury Management and to document and track occupational incident.
2. Planning and developing occupational health promotion program at plant level.
3. Ensure the occupational health standards and requirements are fulfilled.
4. Auding canteen to ensure hygiene and health is maintained always.

Security

1. Collaborate across functions to define and implement crisis management plan (CMP) and business recovery strategy for security site operations and processes.
2. Administer requisite physical site and personnel security programs.
3. Lead the security management team.

Fire Prevention

1. Co-monitoring the FM Global requirement with Plant Utilities team.
2. Ensuring the fire prevention system management are running in compliance.
3. Supporting the Fire Certificate compliance with Malaysia Fire Department.

Cleaning & Gardening

1. To monitor cleaning and gardening activities at Plant.
2. To ensure the maintenance of all cleaning equipment are in working condition.

Job Requirements

1. DOSH Registered Safety and Health Officer, Degree/Master in Occupational Safety and Health Management, Degree in Engineering/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Chemistry/ Applied Science.
2. Total 10 years of experience in Safety & Health function in various industry (8 years of experience in managing Safety & Health, and 2 years of experience in tire manufacturing environment).
3. Managing Safety & Health at various local and international projects.
4. High proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia both spoken and written.
5. Computer literate, i.e., Microsoft Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel.
6. A multi-tasker who strives in a fast-paced environment.
