Product Development, Fluid Handling Solutions

THE POSITION

Perform the product platform development for Fluid Handling Solutions of the Sector ContiTech with the following goals:

• Worldwide development of technical Hose Platforms (PPD Fluid Handling Solutions) for the global technology central function and all Industry Business Areas (BAs) as well Surface Solutions (SSL) BA with focus on one product family. Lead projects with the goal to focus on strategy and maintain customer centricity.
• Implement the activities between all GSCF and BA functions (internal and external interfaces) for new platforms with focus on making the ContiTech product portfolio more sustainable, more innovative, and less complex.
• Build product competency and efficiency by improving the structure - function understanding.
• Interface with the material development, test method development, process development and simulation
• Efficient project management in PLC D1 process landscape with steering of relevant communication to stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in rubber technology or polymer science
• Experience utilizing MS Office 365 and SAP software.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent.
• Product development experience
• Test concept development (DOE etc.)
• Structured problem-solving methods (Ishikawa, 5 Why, etc.)
• Communication and project management
