Product Owner (Parking)

Our teams develop software solutions for automated parking and safety systems, processing various automotive sensor data and providing a robust, scalable output to driving function modules.

Your Task

As a member of the agile teams developing software components for automated parking solutions, you will be responsible for the definition of work packages and streamlining the execution of the environment modeling teams’ deliverables, representing the software component in the product value chain. Collaborating closely with the business owners, product management and other feature teams in the value chain, you will be responsible for:

• Prioritizing product requirements of customers and stakeholders into feasible work packages
• Leading the breakdown of work packages into user stories and validating requirements to appropriate granularity of the team
• Providing vision and creating roadmap for environment modelling for automated parking applications in alignment with stakeholders
• Supporting the team by understanding the technical demands to the product by the stakeholders
• Translating stakeholder feedback into actionable backlog items and providing timely solutions to product management requests
• Ownership of the components’ compliance to automotive SW development standards at Continental
• Driving and approving the plan for an Iteration by collaborating with the team to derive the plan, delivery scope, estimations, iteration goals, and gaining a team commitment.
• Representing the team in the product increment planning, demonstrations and driving technical discussions with the team architect and component owners.

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related area
• 3+ years of experience in a product strategy or product ownership role in automotive SW development environment
• Detailed knowledge of automotive SW engineering processes
• Experience in working with SW component development teams
• Experience in an agile development environment (SAFe)
• Experience in eliciting, specifying and documenting functionality and software requirements      
• Extensive stakeholder management experience
• Experience in working in international & multi-cultural environments
• Excellent command of English, spoken and written.
• Determined, goal-oriented personality, collaborative and open-minded attitude. 

• Nice to have

• Experience as individual contributor/developer or project manager in ADAS/AD application, especially in components based on algorithm development
• Basic understanding of machine learning and function development concepts in the scope of automated driving
• Multiple years of work experience in various fields of the automotive industry (OEM, tier I-II).
