Lab Supervisor


1. Improve laboratory systems – These systems include the laboratory policies, procedures, work instructions, and records, the laboratory calibration system, and lot release requirements.

2. Improve test capability – Work to improve capability of performing more tests, both lot release and development, by adjusting workload or equipment utilization.

3. Maintain A2LA accreditation – Laboratory must provide proof of compliance to ISO 17025 via audit by A2LA every two years.

4. Manage laboratory personnel – Work with associates to solve problems, answer questions, and provide support to enhance laboratory performance.

5. Reduce laboratory costs – Lower costs by reducing lab waste, purchase low-cost operating supplies, and improving laboratory efficiency.

6. Maintain laboratory safety and housekeeping – Ensure all laboratory equipment is safe and properly maintained, ensure lab is kept clean and orderly.



Required -

EDUCATION:  Bachelor of Science related to Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, or Industrial Technology

EXPERIENCE:  Experience in a laboratory environment preferred.  Any experience through Goodyear, manufacturing, or quality assurance is a plus.  Supervisory experience is also helpful

Preferred Education: Masters Degree
