IT Operations Manager

As an IT Operations Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of IT Infrastructure services to the Business Area Autonomous Mobility. You are mainly in charge for dedicated IT services in China and disciplinary lead a local team of specialist who deliver IT Infrastructure services and solutions in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations.

-Leading the Autonomous Mobility Data Platforms China Team by managing the resources, including resource planning and prioritization of tasks together with the functional leads

-Service Owner of the local storage, HPC, VDI and network services

-Steering all local activities around IT Infrastructure services and projects

-Supervise the local team to strictly follow Chinese legislation and policies

-Identification of trainings needs and definition of development measures for the team members

-Conducting employee dialogues and defining individual goals together with the functional managers

-Reviewing and discussing team member behaviors and implementation of an active feedback culture

-Responsible for budget planning for all local services and owner of the cost center

-Steering 3rd parties and security vendors and regularly align with the Autonomous Mobility business on new or changed conditions, service improvements, and new projects

-Handling all changes and new requirements, steering requirements engineering processes, solution definition, and rollout of solutions

-Analyze impact of new regulations and policies and assure compliance

-Oversee further projects and service activities in APAC region (mainly India and Philippines)

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field/comparable qualification or vocational education with relevant professional experience

-Strong ability to motivate and align a team around shared goals

-Leadership experience in global/local teams or line organizations and experience in developing people through mentoring and coaching

-Understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies such as storage, HPC, VDI, Network and Cloud services

-Proven experience in service operations and profound knowledge of services processes

-Strong communication, presentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills

-Pro-active and forward-thinking mindset to help the team to find solutions and solve issues

-High standard of professional integrity and trustworthiness

-Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to leverage diversity

-Fluent in English

-ITIL certified (v3 or v4) preferred

-Willingness to travel, also internationally
