Autonomous Mobile Robot Navigation Intern (IDA: 2023-00028)


Internship Description:

  • Work with engineers and researchers in the navigation team to develop autonomous navigation systems for mobile robots
  • Autonomous Navigation behavior development using behavior trees and state machines
  • Develop motion planners for mobile robots
  • Develop controllers for mobile robots
  • Improve the performance of existing path planners and controllers
  • Fine tune the behavior and performance of the navigation system
  • Develop test scenarios and test cases to improve the robustness of the navigation system
  • Develop ROS2 utility tools required by the navigation system
  • Develop algorithms and software modules that integrate perception system with the navigation system


Internship Requirements:

  • Good programming knowledge in either C/C++/Python
  • Some knowledge on software engineering
  • Some knowledge on programming in Linux environments
  • Enthusiasm to work on unknown problems and find solutions
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Good communication skills
