Metal Casting Specialist

> Combining casting technology process knowledge with regards to: materials, designs, simulations, tooling & moulding, surface conditions.
> Metal casting metallurgy advances to improve casting processes and design for manufacture.
> Build up a high yield castable tooling design without increasing weight.
> Simulation data analysis / outputs to optimize design regarding weight, NVH, porosity and right first time feasibility.
> Casting supplier R&D capability development, to develop best in class foundries to state of art tooling yields and right first time feasibility.

Provide metal casting expertise within own area of responsibility - Hydraulic Brake Systems
› Support & improve robust quality and competitive casting design “Master design” for FND & EPB
› Support & improve material, design, tooling, pattern design & process
› Support & improve global design rules, specifications and drive standardization
› Strengthen know-how exchange between suppliers and Continental, support of SQA supplier development.
› Support & improve the casting suppliers. incl. material, process, yield, output and tooling improvement
› Support  “rapid prototyping” process for casting parts
› Transfer of casting know-how (incl. design, simulation, tooling and process) to other projects, teams and regions within own area of responsibility.
