Automation Engineer

In the Conti Machinery (CM) complex, tire building and special machines are developed, manufactured and brought into service worldwide.

As Automation Engineer, the person will be responsible of:

• Planning, drafting, programming and calculating the control software for manufacturing systems and machines as well as their components with the focus on automation technology;
• Optimizing and adapting the control technology of machines and systems to best meet production requirements;
• Start-up of machines and manufacturing systems: check of the software and machine functions in-house and worldwide in our customer plants.

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, IT Systems or related studies;
• 2 years of experience in industrial environment (preferable);
• Knowledge in automaton programming (Beckoff / Siemens) and field bus;
• Specific knowledge of PLC programming and Safety PLC programming;
• Know-how in machine safety regulations;
• Knowledge in the area of drive engineering and motion control;
• Robotics background (ABB, KuKa);
• Strong Portuguese skills (fluent or native - mandatory);
• Strong English skills, written and spoken (B2);
• Willingness to travel worldwide.
