The Production Front Line Leader is responsible for the management of the production operation for the shift.  The Front Line Leader is responsible for the production output, management and use of resources and any reporting functions related to the process.  This includes time and attendance, waste, production KPIs, operator training and documentation of disciplinary.  Administration of discipline must be accompanied by a manger, but all relevant documentation and recording shall be done by the Production Front Line Leader.


  • Meet with other shift leaders for updates on the current activities and requirements for the shift.
  • Monitor shift expenditures (labor, supplies, & parts) to ensure budget goals are met.
  • Monitor machine and personnel performance (efficiency, waste, and pounds to ensure production goals are accomplished.
  • Assist with the implementation of the production schedule changes in accordance with the Department Manager.
  • Perform safety audits and review with Department Manager
  • Monitor hourly personnel performance to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Maintain daily BT1 production metrics   
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of 5S activities on shift to ensure organization and good housekeeping
  • Completion of necessary shift reports including absenteeism, roll counts, etc.
  • Fill in on the machines when necessary.                        
  • Follow all plant safety rules and attend all required safety trainings.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
