Category Manager Conti Machinery (m/f/d) - REF39594Y

At Conti Machinery (CM), complex tire building and special machines are developed, manufactured and brought into service worldwide. The Purchasing department at our location in Hanover-Stoecken is responsible for sourcing all required materials and services for production of our machines. 

In order to strengthen our international team, we are offering a position as Category Manager (m/f/diverse) in this exciting environment with the following tasks:

• Ensure the timely procurement of all requirements in compliance with the Group's purchasing guidelines and the general purchasing principles (price / quality / delivery time)
• Development and execution of long term category strategy based on customer needs and superior strategies  
• Continuous improvement of sourcing conditions & processes of Category Manager's category
• Holistic supplier management for all operational and all strategic challenges
• Support and guidance of local partners for all purchasing topics related to Category Manager's Category
• Optimization of the supply chain of Conti Machinery

• Degree (Bachelors/Masters/Dipl.) in business economics, industrial engineering, engineering or comparable 
• Multiple years of experience within the field of purchasing, especially negotiations and contract management  
• Good knowledge in project management
• Good to very good knowledge in SAP RM-MAT and MS-Office programs
• Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
• Intercultural sensitivity 
• Willingness to travel worldwide, approx. 10-15% (driving license required)
