Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

• Lead and drive Supplier Quality Improvement Programs (SQIP).
• Supplier Development and Improve quality level of Suppliers.
• Quality related releases of new suppliers and new locations based on VDA 6.3. 
• Releases of technologies for purchased parts based on VDA 6.3.
• Manage escalations worldwide within the above-mentioned category.
• Evaluation, promotion and deployment of Lessons Learned along the Supplier Base and SQM CAT.
• Follow up, Evaluation and monitoring of Strategic Suppliers (SSL).
• Evaluation of the Supplier Panel in a yearly base.
• Responsibility for quality related part of supplier strategy
• Definition of Strategy, Supplier panel and classification in cooperation with Category Purchasing for the subsequent implementation of the strategy.
• Negotiate General Quality Agreement with the Suppliers

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor‘s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management
• Understanding of quality systems, process audits (VDA 6.3). Certified Process Auditor (VDA 6.3) is a plus
• Understanding and Knowledge of quality tools and standards such as APQP/PPAP, FMEA, 8D Methodology, Ishikawa/5 Why, VDA 6.3 and IATF16949
• Preferably, knowledge in plastic molding and its sub-processes e.g., painting, chroming, welding and assembly
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
• Able to work independently and travel frequently
