Hoosier Racing Tire is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world. Hoosier has grown to produce over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully-integrated production facilities recently adding a high-tech mixing plant, with enough capacity to produce not only for Hoosier Racing Tire, but to have the ability to produce rubber for additional entities as well as a model sales and distribution network. Our Hoosier location in Plymouth, IN is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team.

THE POSITION
The Civil Engineer will work closely with our engineering team to conceive, design, build, supervise, operate, construct and maintain facility infrastructure and asset readiness for the purpose of optimizing production output.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
- Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the planning and risk-analysis stages of a project.
- Manage the repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, or similar.
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
