SW Architect - Safety

As a member of our Architecture & Networking (AN) team, the SW Architect will be responsible for delivering a software architecture including functional safety and security & privacy concept that meets internal or external specified requirements, quality and timescale, following the defined process. Therefore the software architect moderates and drives the technical decision, targeting an effective software architecture concept considering exisiting solution, strive for reuse and ensure integrity of existing platforms.

As a SW Architect, responsibilities will include:
+ Develop Software Architecture design/ create high-level design/ solution.
+ Evaluate alternative software architectures.
+ Establish bidirectional traceability from Software Architecture design to software requirements and ensure consistency.
+ Identify risks and opportunities on software level.
+ Get the Software Architecture design reviewed.
+ Decompose software into software components.
+ Derive additional software requirements resulting from the architecture decisions taken.
+ Definition and documentation of interfaces.
+ Describe dynamic behavior.
+ Define resource consumption objectives.
+ Collaborate with other disciplines to document interfaces and dependencies (e.g. System Architect).
+ Ensure maximum re-use and integrity of platform solution (if applicable).
+ Document, communicate and ensure understanding of the Software Architecture design to stakeholder (e.g. SW Developer, SW Integrator, SW Test Engineer, etc.).
+ Support projects in the planning and integration of the architecture solution
+ Define the functional safety concept for the Software.
+ Review of related work products (e.g. system- and software architecture documents, functional safety- and security documents).
+ Contribute to the decision on open source usage, make or buy.
+ Propose solutions for improvement in area of expertise and participate in workgroups.

Required:
+ B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar
+ 3+ years as SW Developer across different architectural layers or SW Integrator/ SW Test Engineer/ System Eng.
+ One participation in technical/cross-functional initiative, project member of at least 2 different R&D projects
+ Experiences in working in international teams and understanding for foreign cultures preferred
+ Knowledge of AUTOSAR
+ Microcontroller & HW Know-how
+ SW Configuration, Build Management
+ Problem Resolution & Change Management
+ SW development experience V-Cycle
+ Model Based System Engineering
+ Requirements Engineering
+ SW Architectural Design
+ SW Functional Safety (e.g. ISO26262)

Preferred:
+ Single-/Multicore Architecture in Embedded Systems
+ Maturity Process Model (ASPICE)
+ Agile Development Methodology (based on SAFe framework)
+ SW Security & Privacy (e.g. ISO21434)
