Sourcing & Capacity

Based on the Long-Term Sales Plan (LTSP / >2 years) -> determination of sourcing locations and the production capacity required to cover the customer demand in the long-term period (this serves as an input for the footprint - investment/disinvestment - planning process).

 Ensure cross-BA alignment of appearing cross-BA capacity/supply requirements. Support of the Global / Cross BA capacity alignment, escalation & allocation process, together with GS SCM.

Lead the annual capacity planning process (global production capacity based on yearly long-term sales budget process) in alignment with Controlling and Operation .

Based on the LTSP and together with BA Sales & Operations mgt to support for the footprint process:

Prepare & provide input to the footprint analysis & decision process.

Provide transparency on capacity "gaps" (+ or -), considering the expected demand development, the available plants capacity, plant allocations ...

Together with "Footprint@BA Operations" prepare a "decision basis" (recommended measures) to be presented and submitted to the Executive mgt for approval (involving BA Head, Segment Heads, SCM, Operations, Controlling, R&D).

 Enhance data-driven decision making within SCM & Operations through automated reports and statistical analysis for Capacity planning.

Support teamwork and cooperation within the GS SCM Organization as well as with other departments; especially OPS Footprint

Pro-active communication with other BA X departments which have an interface to the position with the aim of "optimizing the interface" (transparency, communication & alignment).

Degree in SCM, Economics/Business. Engineering or Operations

Several Years professional experience

In the areas of Supply chain management and/or Operations (good knowledge about sales, purchasing...)

Product knowledge and Manufacturing related technologies, infrastructures, standards and processes

Project management in an international/global context

Effective communication with a high intercultural sensitivity

Strong SAP know how, Lean Operations / CBS principles, methods and techniques

The HC will be transferred from Changshu Plant to BA SCM.
