Plant Operations Intern
Your tasks
The selected candidate will be an integral part of our CST Tire manufacturing plant's Plant Operations Department, located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Core Responsibilities
The intern will be assigned to one or more of the following critical projects:
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the current warehousing inbound/outbound handling process utilizing the Value Stream Mapping approach. This analysis will serve as a fundamental basis for subsequent contract renewal activities for Finish Goods warehouse operators.
- Execute a thorough feasibility study on opportunities and potential implementation of digitalization systems in the PJ warehouse, encompassing Finish Goods, Crude Material, and Spare Parts/Supplies warehouses.
- Develop and implement a sophisticated reporting dashboard using PowerBI and RPA to track and analyze critical Plant Operations KPIs.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Contribute significantly to the development and publication of standard manuals, work instructions, and essential documentation for process requirements.
- Assist in the maintenance and publishing of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Actively participate in the Supply Chain Management and Logistics community, contributing substantively towards continuous improvement activities for the expanding plant operations.
This internship position requires a commitment of 6 - 12 months, with a projected start date in February 2025. The role demands a high level of professionalism, analytical rigor, and dedication to operational excellence.
Your profile
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Logistic or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in PowerBI and RPA
