Summer Internship - AI-Driven BMC Ticket Analysis and Verification


This summer internship focuses on establishing a foundation to create a smart system tailored for BMC tickets, aimed at analyzing their content, identifying problems and solutions, verifying support group assignments, ensuring compliance with ITSM guidelines, detecting assignment anomalies, and alerting when deadlines for issue resolution need to be revised.

By harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, this internship aims to streamline ticket-handling processes, improve assignment accuracy, and enhance overall operational efficiency in IT service management.

What you will do:

  1. Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive research on BMC ticketing systems, ITSM guidelines, and common issues encountered in IT service management.
    • Analyze existing processes and workflows related to ticket handling, assignment, and resolution.
  2. Feature Engineering:
    • Identify relevant features from the ticket data, such as text content, permissions, locations, and resource requirements.
    • Engineer additional features, if necessary, to enhance the performance of ML models.
  3. Content Analysis Development:
    • Design and develop algorithms for analyzing the content of BMC tickets to identify problems and solutions effectively.
  4. Documentation and Presentation:
    • Document the results achieved, system architecture, algorithms, and implementation details for future reference and knowledge transfer.

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for developing algorithms and implementing systems.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning: Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms, including data preprocessing, model selection, and evaluation;
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and develop algorithms.
  • Knowledge of ITSM Principles: Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and guidelines is a plus.
