IT Software Developer

OVERVIEW:
Responsible for systems analysis, design, programing, and post implementation support of software system.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for systems analysis, design, programing, and post implementation support of software system.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures.
• Direct software programming and development of documentation.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Consult with users about software system design and maintenance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in computer science or information system or other relevant degree with minimum 2 years experience in related field.
• Good knowledge in web system development using C# language with Microsoft Visual Studio as integrated development environment (IDE).
• Good knowledge in user interface design with ASP.NET.
• Able to test applications thoroughly before deployment.
• Good knowledge in deploy ASP.NET applications to web server.
• Good knowledge in writing code with maintainability and scalability.
• Able to identify and fix errors in software code.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, or to adapt business requirement change, or to improve its performance.        
• Good knowledge in create and manage the databases, and create queries using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Writing user guide and technical documentation.
• Training user on new or improved business processes.
• Experience in automation development such as UiPath RPA, Power BI and SAP will be added advantages.
• Interest in new technologies and willingness to learn, e.g. Mendix (No Code/Low Code) technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well with cross functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle many small projects at the same time.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge with waterfall and/or Agile development methodologies
