About The Role
The Quality Engineer represents the Customer Voice within the company and ensures the interface with the customer and internally with the others functions on quality matters.
The objective of the role is to develop the team in quality tools, achieve the certification objectives without “major non conformities”, increase the continuous improvement thinking along with customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, the role will be responsible for environment, safety & health, problem solving, reporting and auditing
Achieve the Quality objectives - including Safety & Regulation and Environmental.
Monitor the objectives achievement through a risk assessment follow up based on FMEA (Failure mode and Effects Analysis), Special characteristics, capabilities, PPM.
Ensure authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of serious non conformance.
Approve the "Production Validation Test" established by Engineering/R&D and ensure its completion according to the program milestones.
Lead the development and production process for measurement, checking and testing fixtures and gauges.
Define the control plans.
Be responsible for conformity, perceived quality and traceability of any parts delivered to the customer all along the development phases.
Prepare and compile the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) files for submission.
Apply Program Management System according PTG tools and standards.
Qualifications, Experience & Behaviours
Technical degree in Engineering.
Experience within a similar role as Quality Engineer.
Industry experience in an automotive plant (preferred).
Knowledge of project management principles and methods.
Good knowledge of quality management system standards: ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Knowledge about automotive quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, 8D Reporting, 5Why, PPAP and VDA 6.3;
Excellent communication and moderation skills.
