Supervisor Tire Information Systems (TIS)

The Tire Information Systems (TIS) team drives the application development of electronic systems including sensors and electronic control modules for tire pressure monitoring systems as well as tire health management. Beyond tire pressure monitoring, Tire Information Systems target future technologies such as cloud services and smartphone applications. The supervisor leads the TIS team in its development activities for the region of North America.

Core Responsibilities:
• Leading the Tire Information Systems (TIS) team in the application development and supporting the local development activities.
• Driving acquisition activities together with Program Management for new development projects in the region North America.
• Responsibility of the TIS lab including coordination of lab activities, test equipment and support of audits.
• Team development by coaching and mentoring of team members.
• Resource allocation of the team members for the development activities.
• Supporting the corporation process for project development, design review, project status review, and quality review.
• Interfacing with internal and external customers for TIS topics.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Working with the global platform teams to introduce new Tire Information System technologies (such as Bluetooth communication, tire load, and tread depth detection) and future product strategies.
• Managing activities between the development team and centralized groups (e.g. validation lab, purchasing, quality) for prototype builds, Design Validation, and support Product Validation activities.
• Participating in reviews and escalations.
• Supporting quality initiatives and warranty analysis.
• Supporting the team in development tasks, mainly Technical project lead and System engineering and testing activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive electronic module development
• Experience in project management
• Experience in team leadership
• Good understanding of requirements engineering and management processes
• Good communications skills and ability to communicate with customers on the technical aspects
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated
• Experience with automotive OEM customers


• 3+ years of experience in project management
• 7+ years of automotive electronic module development
• Engineering experience in varied functional areas (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software)
• Good understanding of wireless technologies for Tire Pressure Sensor
• Functional Safety Management experience
• Cybersecurity experience
• Intercultural experience or experience with international project teams
• Experience with agile development
• Ability to travel: 10% (Domestic and International)
