  • Interface between Automotive Purchasing and BA AM Purchasing.
  • Support to align, define and implement the global Purchasing strategy with the BU specific material strategy including knowledge transfer.
  • Support for Purchasing Redesign to cost measures as well as other cost reduction programs.
  • Responsible to drive alignment between Automotive Purchasing and BA Management on material budget including opportunities and risks
  • Responsible  for Big data analytics, Purchasing KPI, Close the Gap and Material Strategy on a BU level. 
  • Support to ensure data quality by defining and implementing a structured analysis of AM material data
  • Support transparent data analytics to ensure efficient evaluation of target deviations and definition of countermeasures 
  • Support and update a monthly forecast report for annual price reductions vs. budget, including risks and opportunities'
  • Support for all financial and nonfinancial PUR KPIs for AM
  • Implement and track relevant KPI's on a global scale
  • Identifying external and internal data sources for data analysis 
  • Support for measure creation and realization of savings
  • Ensure data quality for the active existing parts in the system
  • Support to check continuously price differences including definition and implementation of countermeasures including leassons learnt for the organization
  • Provide the big picture for purchasing topics by creating summaries and complex visualizations of selected topics e.g. Budget, MLCC, Shares, Legacy, etc…
  • Support key strategic purchasing acitvities, like Risk Mitigation, multiple source and share implementation, SSL coverage      
  • and Legacy Management 
  • Drive exchange with category specialists and technology experts of the BUs / BAs in order to identify our technology roadmaps
  • Support dedicated strategic projects e.g. "Project Risk Mitigation" in direct alignment with BU Management 
  • Support to setup and define structured reportings, methods and guidelines.

  • Human relations skills (team skills, conflict management, open-mindedness, networking)
  • Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques to operate in different cultures
  • Problem solving and decision making tools and techniques
  • Project management skills, tools and techniques
  • Procurement  Process  and Product Life Cycle (PLC) knowledge
  • Purchasing Management (including standards of Quality system requirements, policies and norms (IATF 19649/ VDA 6.1)
  • Material Budget systems / process including compliance regulations 
  • Risk Management
  • Technical understanding of specific components
  • Commercial knowledge, includes contract law etc.
