Senior IP Counsel of Continental China

Position: Senior IP Counsel of Continental China
Location: Dalian Road, Shanghai
Job Description:
This role is dedicated to handle IP matters for specific BAs (business areas) of Continental
China.
The essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Harvesting of invention disclosures and drafting Chinese first filings for dedicated BUs,
also providing support to other team members,
2. Patent prosecution work for Chinese patent applications,
3. Providing freedom-to-operate analysis and IP risk mitigation opinion,
4. Closely working with RD teams and other stakeholders, to provide regular IP supports,
e.g. providing trainings/workshops to RD teams and regular reports to the management
team of BUs,
5. Supporting global projects, and
6. Supporting IP related projects, e.g., government projects, university Projects, special RD
projects…

Qualifications:
1. 8+ years IP experience in MNC or consultancy in law firm/IP firm,
2. Chinese Patent Agent Bar (legal bar is a plus),
3. Mechanical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Computer science or Software engineering,
4. Sound understanding of IP related legal issues, and
5. High level of commitment and motivation in delivering good results and fluent in English.
