Frontend and Backend Developer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Developing cloud-first web applications that enable users to interact with factory data and machine learning models
• Development of web applications with Angular(2+)
• Supporting in the Architecture of the web application (Module-/Component-Design)
• Designing of user interfaces and user experience
• Optionally Full-stack development of whole applications
• Developing cloud-first web applications that enable users to interact with Factory data and machine learning models
• Backend development: build modern serverless scalable backends in Python and Node.js on AWS.
• Work in and improve upon a modern cloud-based CI/CD environment.
• (Frontend knowledge.) Develop state of the art static Angular web applications based on Redux architecture and micro-frontends.
• Designing systems for training, deploying, monitoring, and managing machine learning models
• Work on machine learning platforms that provide the infrastructure for training SOA machine learning models on large amounts of data.
• Develop software for Kubernetes clusters that host machine learning models live in production.
• Architect monitoring concepts for live machine learning models for monitoring model performance, model decay etc.
• Implementing scalable sustainable event-sourced systems that handle large amounts of distributed data effectively
• Design architectures for a large data platform with event-sourcing at its core.
• Develop a self-service platform that enables users to build applications on top of the data platform.
• Research in knowledge and information modeling for building a data dictionary for a wide variety of domains.
• Work as a developer evangelist that sets standards on best-practices on how to develop modern event-sourced applications for the whole organization.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU IF:

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable
• 3+ years of experience in Software Development with high coding-standards (TDD, clean code, ...) and an agile mindset
• Excellent coding skills in at least one backend languages (Typescript, Python, Go, C#, Java, NodeJS, ...) and in a state-of-the-art JavaScript frontend framework (Angular, React, VueJS,...) as well as HTML, CSS, JavaScript 
• Experience in test-driven-development/unit testing and software architecture
• Experience in Git, DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience with or willingness to learn cutting-edge technologies (Serverless, microservices, event sourcing, ...)to develop into full-stack developer (serverless cloud-based backends)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong hands-on experience in building and designing software solutions from scratch
• Experience with CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, Docker, Bash, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Experience as a technical lead developer is an advantage
• Knowledge of agile methods
• AWS/Azure certification of advantage
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts of advantage
• Fun with modern technology
• Willingness to travel
