Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineers is responsible for providing support to the production and maintenance teams for all electrical related issues in the facility.  

  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of product design, manufacturing processes, material properties, and government regulations.
  • Lead engineering groups, individual engineers, or technical assistants, as required.
  • Create, direct, and coordinate the development, design, and implementation of new processes for new or existing products.
  • Provide technical support to customers, production and the commercial organization.
  • Allocation of development resources in locating and eliminating sources of manufacturing, design or application problems.
  • Must be familiar with the planning and installation of assembly line equipment and have experience in 480 volt 3 Phase power distribution, AC/DC control wiring both medium (2300) and low (480 and below) voltage, and motor circuits. 
  • Provide leadership to the PLC Technicians and Electricians on both daily tasks and larger projects
  • Project Management is integral part of this role.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering is required
  • Must be able to read and develop schematics, panel layouts and construction drawings
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of Allen Bradley controls including PLC’s, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, GuardLogix, RSLogix, HMI, AB VFD.
  • Must be familiar with the planning and installation of assembly lineequipment and have experience in 480 volt 3 Phase power distribution, AC/DC control wiring both high and low voltage, and motor circuits
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a plant electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience preferred in the areas of AC/DC motors and drives, AB PLC’s, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine wiring, industrial electrical systems, ARC Flash safety requirements and ability to manage one line drawing systems for facility. 
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Union experience is a plus
