To contribute in the quality of the product fulfilling and satisfying the necessities and expectations of the customers, using for it all the available information: control plans, SOP, visual aids, visual standards, and any other applied a ContiTech Wigan
Carry out Daily Audit Inspection for Visual (attribute) and Dimensional (variable) checks on in process and finished product.
Conduct product audits according to the plan or due others needs as customer complain or other and communicated the results to production
Responsible for the recording of the above check and as necessary inputting the data onto the Computer System.
Daily input the results of production Hub Load test from all relevant production areas.
Carry out checks on finished belts as and when required by the relevant customer requirements and the relevant Control Plans. Inspect and release/scrap any belts quarantined by Production as a result of their, length, Hub Load, Spin Speed etc. Ground rib tip testing and release.
Carry out follow-up and\or application of the actions from the A3/8D as a result of the audits, customer claims or others.
Be a part of Continuous improvement teams
Collaborate with the Quality team complying with other necessary tasks of the Department to achieve its objectives
Provide information / training to production whenever a product change or modification of criteria (s) occur.
Stop the Production and suspend the shipment of products when the Quality of the Product or Service to be sent to the customer is at risk or for another serious failure that goes against the Quality System implemented
Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm; Friday 6am-1pm / 2pm-9pm rotating every week. 39 hours per week.
